"OKay last time around we used our tangent line knowledge for avoiding the scratch in the corner pocket. This time, let's use this same setup that we had before, and let's use the tangent line and the cue ball for getting position on another ball rather than just for trying to avoid the scratch. So back to our basic setup once again, with our little angle cut shot right here. Let's say that our next shot is going to be that eight ball over there. Well, that basically gives us two options that we can do for avoiding the scratch plus getting position. First one would be use a follow stroke. In other words, top spin. Put top spin on it so that we change our arc to go into the cushion, coming down getting us position on the cue ball, or I mean on the eight ball. Now, the next one, we might also want to use that tangent line, same tangent line, if that were, well it is going to be the same tangent line. But, we might not want to use exactly that same shot. Let's say, if this ball is over here now. Now, what we might want to use is the stun shot, or what we would call the stop stroke, to get it to follow the tangent line more precisely over this way. Or, if we had that same shot, but now we have the eight ball over here so we want to get over this side so that we can shoot the eight ball down there. Now, we might want to use the backspin. There."
