"Hi, my name is Molly Mackey with Expert Village and now we’re going to talk about some common flaws in books and how we can make simple repairs to those. One of the most common is the dreaded price tag right on the front. Many times people will just rip these off and that causes a big scuff. We don’t want that, the safest way and your best friend will always be lighter fluid. This helps many repairs; uh this will also take off thrift shop oil crayon that’s on covers as well. But we’re going to take this, you just; it will not hurt the book jacket at all. We just want to pour a little bit on here, it will make a temporary dark look but it dries clear. You want to kind of soak it in, rub the edges, because the corners are what tends to stick more, I already have a little corner started here and you want to just gently roll away, if it’s a little stubborn you’re going to want to put a little bit more on and wait, don’t be impatient, it’s very important, you don’t want scuffs on your dust-jackets. Okay and this one is coming off pretty darn easy, there’s a little residue left, I usually just run my finger and kind of just get the remains off and it works wonders and this will dry and you will never see it and it dries clean.
