"Hi, I'm John Olsen for Expert Village. Take a piece of this horn stone. Do what's called billeting with a but of a deer antler. Lots of ways to do it. Everybody has their own way. I'm going to use it sort of like a hammer stone and take off small flakes. I'm kind of more of a hammer stone person but occasionally I get caught using one of these. A little more forgiving with a billet. A little softer and has a little more give to it. Little small flakes coming off the bottom. And just like the percussion flaking, we'll thin it out and we'll go to pressure flaking. Make a small arrow head here. Pretty thinned out piece. Maybe take one more hit off of it, over here in this corner. See if I can't make a nice thin flake there. There it is."
