Tips for Winning Gin Rummy

"Hi this is Gary Zier for Expert Village let me show you some more tips and strategies. A good memory goes along way in gin rummy. It is important to always to remember what cards has been discarded so you can now the chance in completing sets and rums in your own hand. For example there is no use to holding on to 2 kings if the other 2 kings has already been discarded this could actually be dangerous because if your opponent knocks you would be stuck with 2 unmatched face cards with a high point value. Another tip try to discard cards that will not help your opponent this is usually done by remembering which cards he picks up and making a good assessment of his hand. Beware of a opponent trying to flush a card out from you. Now how would he do that? Let's say that you opponent has one king he needs the king of diamond to complete a series and thinks you are holding that king of diamonds, he purposely throws the king. Do you think it is safe to throw kings because he doesn't need them? When really he does need them or at least he needs one of them the king of diamonds that your holding therefore you may throw out a card that would help him complete a nilled. "
