Summary: Learn how to finish the seed tray for a bird feeder plan from an expert birdhouse builder in this free yard crafts video.
"We will finish up the feeding part of it. We would have on the last segment, but I ran out of brads so I couldn't. We got the feeder portion of it. You see this lap down here. This is so when the feed goes in here, it will come out and the birds can eat on it, sit on the side here or whatever they want. The next thing we'll do is put the roof on. What we want to do is make the roof a little bit wider and a little bit longer so that the water does not get into the feed itself. It doesn't really matter out here because it will dry out out here, but in the box here it would get moldy or what have you. Of course our birds we fill them up at least once or twice a day. I think that my wife goes through fifty to sixty pounds of bird seed in a month?s time, plus hummingbirds when we have those. We spend a lot of money on bird seed. On the next segment we will go ahead and make the roof part of it and we will hinge it and we will go over it in the next segment."
