"Welcome back this is Brian on behalf of expertvillage.com. Once we’ve successfully loaded the film onto the spiral cage it’s important to properly load it into the canister. On this particular style there’s a spindle in the middle that both reels slip onto to even if you’re only developing one roll you want to use both reels to ensure it doesn’t bounce around and giggle on the inside and remember this still must be done in a completely dark environment, it’s not safe to turn the lights on in your dark room until you have the canister closed completely, so it’s a good idea to place everything within arms reached inside the bathroom or darkroom or which ever dark area you’re using to load the film onto the spiral cage and again it takes practice to get the feel of how to do it properly but once you do it’s very simple. Once the lid is on tight on the canister it’s now safe to turn the lights on or take it out into a lighter room to perform the developing process."
