"In this clip, we are going to talk about how points are actually scored. In order to score and everybody varies just a little bit, but the way our club plays and many clubs plays, your shoe must be within this radius. The radius of the width of the shoe. If it's not, it doesn't score. The major thing that we all shoot for is a ringer and a ringer is simply a shoe that goes around the peg. In this place where we play, if my partner throws a ringer and then my opponent throws a ringer, it cancels out. So one ringer cancels out another. If that happens, the next nearest shoe if it is within the radius would score a point and whatever color that happens to be, that would be the point. So in some places people count a leaner for two, we don't. We count a leaner only as one. It is just the closer one to the peg. The only thing that scores more than one point is a ringer and that is what we all aim for. Three points is what you get for a ringer and one point at a time for those that are lose to the peg. "
