" Hi! I’m Yvette Parrish. Thanks for joining me at Expert Village. Today I’m going to show you how to apply makeup properly, professionally, and the use of brushes. Now I am going to take a brush, and I am going to take a little bit of this lipstick color and put it on my palate, and I am rolling my lip brush into the lipstick to get the lipstick on it. If you take your brush and you smush it in there, all the color, you are really just depositing too much makeup on your brush, and you are going to ruin your brush in time. So roll your brush, and you are grabbing the lipstick as you roll. That is what I am doing. Rolling is a little bit of a copper look, and it is nice and warm and pretty, and we do that on lip liner first. So, now her lipstick is going to last even longer. And once again when you use the brush, you have more control, then take in the whole lipstick, and putting it all over you are not going to get the control. There is all different size lip brushes. If you have really full, full lips, you might want to get a big lip brush. If you have tiny, tiny little lips, then get the smallest lip brush that you can find. So, just like when we talked about with the eyes, whatever area of the face you are trying to do, like when you do in the blush you have a brush that is a wide brush, because we are doing a wide area. Now that we are doing the lips, we are doing a smaller area, you are going to want a smaller brush. So I am just filling it in… and I am going to lift up her lip just slightly like we did with the lip liner, and I want to make sure that I got lipstick every little part, and this is a nice pretty warm golden look.
