"If you're going from light hair to dark hair and it's time to maybe darken some old highlights, or if you have some re-growth and it's time to go back to your natural color, you have to decide how dark is your natural color and how dark do you want your hair to be. In a process like this, I'm going to show you some hair color samples. This is someone who maybe has colored their hair in the past. Here's the highlights that they have, and they want to get back to their natural color. You have to remember that you have to go through the four levels of processing before you get to your natural color. Which means, by purchasing the darkest color, and applying to your existing hair color, you're going to have to have a, a certain amount of deposit, is what it's called, when you deposit hair color. Here's another example. Someone who's had highlights in their hair. This is the highlights. You're going to deposit color. You want to get back to your natural color, which is the dark. You're going to go through a process of, if you rinse the color off too soon, you're going to end up with a middle color, which is not the proper color you're trying to achieve.
