How to Apply Eye Makeup for a Summer Look

"Hi, I'm Michelle Renee here in Tampa, Florida with the Michelle Renee Makeup Artist Group and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to demonstrate makeup for Summer. We're at our eighth step right now. That's the most fun for me. We're gonna do the eyes. Now, we already have a light concealer on the eyes. That's our base. That's gonna help our shadow stay on longer. Especially when it's Summer and it's oily, it's important to keep color throughout the day. Now, for Summer I like to use sheer colors. Remember we want to reflect the season. Look bright, light and airing. Now, what I'm gonna do right now, is I'm gonna place throughout the eye a light sheer color. I chose an ivory with a little bit of shimmer gives the eye a little bit of texture. I'm placing it with an eye brow brush. Eye brow brush, it's just a fat brush. And we're gonna go ahead and place it, starting from the inner corner and working our way all the way to the top, perfect. So we've got concealer in our base color right now. Now in the, in a V shape, right at the brow bone bring it all down. I'm gonna place our accent color. Right now I'm gonna use a little bit of a peach color. In the Summer you could use peach, pink and as normal you could always use neutral color browns, taupe, etc... Just depending on what look you're going for. I personally like to use pinks or peaches. So, right now I'm gonna use a little bit of color and going in a V shape, brow bone. It's important to blend to look natural and fresh and not over done. This is a great look for work or for play. We've got our accent color on. "You can open your eyes, perfect." This gives you a little bit of bright right in the corner. Our last step with eyes, is I'm gonna use a sheer shimmer up on top and then also in the corner. This just adds a little passes to the eye. So, at the very top, right close to the eye brow, I'm just gonna dab a little bit of shimmer. Do you see how that really makes the eye jump out and go pow? Then I'm gonna get a little bit of the shimmer and place it at the very corner of the eye. You could even bring the shimmer down underneath the eye. This kind of opens up the eye. Remember light colors jumps out at you and dark receive. So we want to look fresh young fun for Summer we want to use it here and here. "Close your eyes, perfect." "
