Series Summary

Dry cleaning is any cleaning process for clothing and textiles using an organic solvent rather than water. It is necessary to dry clean clothes that would be damaged in a normal washer and dryer with everyday household detergent. Dry cleaning is a great way to get high quality clothing items clean if you don't have time to hand wash them yourself.

If you've ever wondered how dry cleaners get clothes looking nice, watch this free instructional video series from a dry cleaning specialist. He will show you what you need to know when you drop a shirt off and the processes involved in getting clothes back to being presentable. If you are interested in the process of dry cleaning, let our dry cleaning specialist show you the basics.

Video Transcript

"OK, this is what we call the call area. This is where we wait in the customers will come in through the front door and we promptly wait on them and usually the customer will come in with a garment and what we will do is we use one of our invoices. There bigger invoice we have are for dry cleaning only and the smaller ones are for laundry. When we, the customer comes in we will ask them for their last name and their first initial because some people do have the same last name like a thousand Miller's you know, in this town and we will also ask for their phone number in case we have a problem with there garment or need to get an OK, to wet clean or use a special chemical on it to remove a stain. We also date it and we promise it for the next day by four o clock. OK, what we do is put down his first initial and the day that it is ready to be picked up and we hand him a receipt for the order which he can bring back and we can look through our card file here and match the numbers up to his name or we can go by last name too and in the card file it tells us what number on the conniver that his cloths are and then once he brings his cloths in we will put them in one of our Odgen's CLeaners bags with the tickets and we will close the bag up and throw it into our mark it in counter."
