"The next step in prepping the natural nail is to glue the tips on that you just sized to the finger. Check and make sure that it does go from side to side. If it's a little too big, you're going to need to file the sides in. You just want to put a little glue right on the end and just glue the tip up to the end of the well. Now, these nail wells are actually cut out to go ahead and give her a nice smile line. This is the well here. If it has a full well, you actually have to cut it out or just use the whole thing. On the back it gives you a guide as to how far onto the nail you actually want to apply it. Double check, make sure you don't need to file any. One side was a little too long so we just filed it slightly with the nail file. Make sure that the tip is adhering all the way down onto the nail plate itself. Squeeze in the sides if you need to a little. And if you're not careful, you could also glue yourself to the client. So, don't use too much glue. Now, some people, their nail plate actually curves. When I say curves, the finger will come down one way and then the nail tries to go in the opposite direction. In the case of that, when you apply the tip, you just want to put the tip on straight with the bone, not with the nail itself, that way if their finger does curve, a little off center, it gives it the illusion that it's a straight nail. And that is how you apply the tips to the natural nail bed."
