"Hi, I’m Lillian Garcia with Salon in Scottsdale and on behalf of Expert Village.com we are now ready to neutralize the hair after rinsing out the waving solution for your home perm. Like I said, you want to blot each rod thoroughly to get the excess moisture out. You can put the towel on your shoulder for extra protected covering and then you are going to want to apply a strip of cotton once again to collect the excess moisture from the neutralizer. You pick up the second bottle that was in your box then you snip off the tip again and just like the waving solution you are going to want to apply the neutralizer vertically across each rod and of course you are probably want to use a mirror unless you have a friend apply this for you. You go along each rod and you apply the neutralizer and this re-hardens your hair back to its normal state. The waving solution softens it to make the formation of the curl and the neutralizer actually re-hardens your hair to the normal state that it was in before the perm. Then you are going to want to time this for no more than 10 minutes. The box usually recommends 5 to 10 minutes. This does not have an odor so you don’t have to worry about the ventilation so you will want to sit with this for 5 to 10 minutes, remove the cotton after it is done and then we will demonstrate how to remove the rods and rinse it.
