"Hi, I'm Kendell Swenson I'm a makeup artist here in Los Angeles and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you some quick and easy makeup tricks that you can do yourself at home. So stay tuned, because I'm going to show you how to easily apply concealer and foundation, how to create a beautiful and simple smoky eye, how to enhance some full lips and maybe a quick few tips on applying false lashes for when you go out at night. So stay tuned and I'll show you how to do all of these things coming right up. Hi, we're back with easy make tricks. The first thing that we're going to do is prime our model Kim's skin for foundation. It's really important that before you add anything to the face that you want to moisturize the skin, this way the skin has a nice smooth canvas to apply makeup and other products onto. If you don't put foundation on top of moisturizer it won't glide onto the skin as smoothly and it might settle into the little tiny fine lines that we have and not look as quiet as polished. So what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to use a foundation brush to apply the moisturizer to Kim. I like to do that because we all have little tiny oils that secrete in our fingertips and if we use the moisturizer with your fingertips it can cause the product to kind of separate and not absorb as quiet as quickly into the skin. This also helps me to make sure that I'm controlling the amount that I use so that I'm not ending up with too much moisturizer on her. So what I'm going to do is I like to start the inner parts of the face more in the t-zone and we just kind of whisk a little bit on and then we're just going outward, just like this. It's also really important to use the right moisturizer for your skin type. You want to use something a little creamier if your skin is a little more on the dry side and if your skin is oilier you want to get a nice oil absorbing product that will help you keep the makeup on throughout the day. There are a lot of really great moisturizers out there for oily skin that will absorb the oil throughout the day and then the foundation will look flawless and there we go, perfect pallet for everything else."
