How to Choose an Eyeliner Color

"I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to use eyeliner to define your eyes. When you choose the color of your eyeliner first thing you want to take into consideration is the color of your eyes. People with blue eyes tend to look better in either a brown or bronzey color of eyeliner. That will really enhance and bring out the blue in the eyes. People with green eyes tend to look really great in either purples or again brown liners. Purple will really enhance the green flecks in the eye. If you have somebody who has hazel eyes, such as she does here, which she has a lot of different flecks of golds, brown, and green in there. She has a lot of variety that she can choose from. She can do either like a purple shade which would really enhance the green flecks in her eyes. She could do bronzes or browns which would enhance the brown flecks in her eyes and she could even do some golds which would enhance the gold flecks in her eyes. So, she has a lot of different variety. People with brown eyes are the really lucky ones because they can usually wear any color. You never really want to match your eyeliner to your eye color. I'm not saying that you can't wear the same color liner as your eyes. For instance, if you have blue eyes you can wear blue liner but you never want the liner to be more intense than the color of your eyes. Because the purpose of liner and any eye makeup is to enhance the color of your eyes and to make your eyes stand out more. So you wouldn't want people to notice your eyeliner before they notice the color of your eyes. Another factor that you want to take into consideration is hair color and skin color. You want to take into consideration your under tones, whether you have more of a cool undertone, which is somebody who has more of a blue base to their skin or somebody who is more warm has more of a golden base to their skin. And you also want to take into consideration of hair color whether they're blonde, whether they're brunette, whether they're a red head and that will help you determine your eyeliner color as well. "
