"Now we're ready to start with foundation. Like I said earlier, you want to use a more matte foundation rather than something that's doey or iridescent. The coverage just depends on your personal preference or your skin type. She has great skin, so I don't need something with a tremendous amount of coverage, so I'm using a matte foundation that is a little more light, light to medium coverage. I'm not going to use a tremendous amount, but I'm going to use more than I normally would. I really want to take the color out of her face for this look. I'm using a foundation that either matches her skin tone exactly or is a tad bit lighter than her natural skin tone. Like I said, we want to take the color out of the skin. You want to apply it all over the face, not just the spots like you normally would, but all over the face. You want to give a nice coating of foundation. Don't forget around the eye area also. Look up for me. You really want to take the color out of the whole eye area, which is the place where a lot of color is. Some people have little blood vessels or blue under eye. You want to really take that out. Close for me. You want to start with a nice clean white pallet. That's the look of this. Just really pale and kind of like a vampire. Take it down the neck a little bit. You want everything to be really nice and blended. Lastly, powder. Again, same with the foundation. Either natural skin tone or a little bit lighter, and you just want to blend that into the skin as well. It'll help keep the foundation on longer. You want to powder the lips. Don't powder the eyes too much. Just powder around the eyes tend to make them creasy or cakey and dry. There we go. Nice clean pallet."
