"Hi, my name is Julia and this is my model Kim from Extensions by Julia on behalf of Expert Village. Today we are going to be talking about hair extensions. (How long can I keep my hair in?) Well that depends on each individual. First of all you want to make sure that you are taking good care of your hair once you leave the salon. If you are very rough when washing your hair, if you are rough when you are using a comb or a brush or even using flat irons and curling irons, that can cause a lot more damage causing them to fall out sooner. You should be able to get it 3 to 6 months wear out of your extensions. Now because every person has a different growth hair rate, that will depend on you. If somebody in 3 months grows 3 inches out of their hair, you have the extension hanging down here; one, it doesn't look very attractive and two, it is creating a lot more weight on your natural hair causing a lot more breakage. A lot of women will come in back to me after having their hair in for 6 or 7 months and the entire extension is hanging here but it is hanging by 3 hairs on their head, which is a clear indication that all that hair that its been attached to has been ripped off. So it is very important that you look at your hair throughout the months and make sure that your hair has not broken because if it starts breaking too much, you want to get them taken out and reput in. But with the product that I use you get the least breakage, so hopefully you won't have that problem. (Is there a way to get them re-tighten or do you have to just?) You can either after 3 to 6 months, you have a choice of taking them all out and we can do an entire application, also women can come back in a month and half or so, we can go through your entire head, we can take out the ones that look like they are falling out, the ones that are holding onto too many, a few pieces of hair and we could take those out and rebond some more and leave the good ones in, so that way you don't have to redo a full hair and that also is less cost for you."
