"The first step to any makeup application is to prep your skin for the makeup. The first thing you want to do is make sure your skin is fully cleansed. You're just getting out of the shower or you have a sink around. You can just wash your face with water and your cleanser. Just make sure it's thoroughly cleaned. If you don't have water around, you can use a makeup remover wipe, which is what I'm going to use or a baby wipe. Just make sure that the skin is completely clean, especially the eyes. You don't want any eye makeup residue. It's very, very important to get rid of all the eye makeup residue so you can start with a fresh clean pallet. Once the skin is completely clean, you want to use a moisturizer. If your skin is oily, use an oil-free matte moisturizer. We're putting enough dewy, glowy things on your skin. However, if your skin is dry or normal, you can use a moisturizer that has a big of a glow to it or that's made for that look so to speak. You can use any moisturizer that you really love. Nothing to matifying. If you are not oily, there's no need to use something to matify. You want your skin to look really nice and healthy with that natural glow. Apply all over the face. Don't forget the neck. The neck is a very important part of your face. I'm using a foundation brush, but you can use your fingertips. Just make sure they're clean. Lastly, we're going to use a little bit of an eye cream. It's very important when you're using a lot of makeup, especially around the eye area, that you use a nice eye cream to keep the eyes nice, smooth, and supple. Makeup, especially powder, can tend to dry under eye. You just want to go right around the whole eye area. Not on top of the eye, but just around the eye area. Ever so gently. In these winter months if you tend to get chapped lips, you can also use lip conditioner. That's up to you. I like using lip conditioner. I think it's very important, especially before you put all your makeup on. Put your lip conditioner on and give yourself a couple minutes before you put lipstick so the lip conditioner can kind of settle into the lips. Now we're ready to do foundation. "
