" Hello this is Jacqueline on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip I will be telling you how to cornrow a child's hair. First step in cornrowing a child's hair is to wash the hair. Usually a sink with a spray nozzle would be the best way to go. Lean over the edge of the bath tub if necessary. Wash. Lather. And rinse and repeat. And apply conditioner. You could put in a leave in conditioner that is fine since the hair would be this way for sometime plus in serves as a detangler. Make sure you have a bottle of water or the detangler near by for tangles. Comb thoroughly and begin your first braid. This would serve as you could for the rest of your braids. Keep the braids uniform and then have fun with it. Take breaks if necessary and watch a movie to keep them happy through the process. Make sure that they are comfortable and allow them to stretch as there little bodies get restless after sitting for extended periods of time. Have a healthy snack near by so you don't have to interrupt braiding to fix one. When finish add barrettes or ribbons or beads or whatever accessories you prefer or leave it unfinished. "
