"Hi! This is Cindy from Pink Cheeks Skin Care Salon in Sherman Oaks and we are here to talk about waxing for Expert Village. Now, in addition to using a real, real perfect, perfect wax, we use a cloth called Egyptian Cotton Muslin. Now this much more expensive as the wax is and it keeps our overhead high. But the cloth is as important that people use on you as the wax. This Egyptian Cotton has a very fine tight closed weave. That's beautiful for the grab when you put the wax and then you put the Muslin on the clients leg and you pull, you're assured of getting a very thorough pull and you don't have to go back for seconds. Ideally hair should be long. We say the longer it is, the better, cause the more thorough the pull. Hairs long enough when you can pinch the hair and lift up the skin and you can do it generously. Do not be afraid that it is long, that it is going hurt more, it will not because the root is a root. All we're worried about is the length of the hair so we can grab it and pull it much more thoroughly off. Because if you come in and the hair is too short, you know what we're going to have to use? Plucking, tweezers and that hurts."
