How to Color Roots When Highlighting Hair

" Hi! My name is Dawn Shannon for Expert Village, owner of Intuition Salon and Spa you can visit us on the web at www.intuitionsalonandspa.com. We’re now going to go ahead and apply the root color and we’re going to go in between the foils and you want to do this very quickly, be very careful not to miss any spots and again this particular color I’m putting on in order to get it to be the same color from the top to the bottom I actually have to mix it two different ways. This particular color is a neutral color with a little bit of a gold and then when I do the ends I’m going to do a little extra gold in there as the root area generally likes to take differently than the rest because the scalps warmer. I’m going in between every foil and doing this quickly cause we have three different colors going on here, the ends generally take faster and that they’re more poorest means that they absorb things more readily, the regrowth being more healthy so we need to leave it on a little bit longer than the ends. So I’ve gone ahead and I’ve completed putting the root color on the base color and you just want to very quickly check through and make sure that you didn’t miss any spots very quickly and then we’re going to go ahead and we’re going to start and do the color for the ends."
