"Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel for Expert Village. I'm a clothing designer and clothing instructor based in Los Angeles. I absolutely love to sew I've been sewing since I was 14 and then studied costume design. I was a costume designer in Florida and then I went on to be a independent designer with my small label called Candyland. I specialize one of a kind dresses and separates now I actually teach sewing for my studio. So I just absolutely love to sew and just have so much fun with it so for today's project is how to make a really easy flare skirt. I'm going to show you how to make your very own pattern, how to choose fabrics and what fabrics to consider when you are going to choose to make your skirt. Then we are actually going to do some really cool top stitching and I'll introduce a really fun easy zipper technique. It makes putting in zippers a breeze. After that we'll add a really cute pocket and then finish it off with some great hems."
