"You just can't kill those mineral guys, bullets don't stop them. Better to run away from them. Just one type of life that might exist, not just on our moon, but on planet after planet. Now, on Earth, we already have deciphered the human genome. Three billion units in two thousand and three, and of course we're deciphering the genomes of other entities. And we're getting to the point now where we can create new forms of life, ourselves. For instance, there's the flavor saver, tomato. That's a combination of a flounder and a tomato. We've also added RNA, rhino nucleic acid to bacteria to get a somewhat intelligent bacteria. And, there's also an experiment involving tobacco plants and chicken. The idea that in the future, we'll be able to grow chicken on trees, and no longer have to feed those pests. And of course, the argument is that if we can do this with just a few years of genetic experimentation, think of what nature could have created over billions of years. And on Earth we have a couple of interesting examples. First of all there are, it's estimated that one in every thirty-six hundred human beings has his or her heart not on the left side, but on the right side. Check it out right now. No, mine's on the left side. And, so it's certainly possible that somewhere, there are individuals that have two hearts, like Dr. Who, that he's not mythical. And we also have cone-headed entities. This gal, Belulah Milani, from the Trans-gai province of South Africa was born with a cone head. She's now a teenager doing quite well, has average intellect. A cone head right here on Earth. Why not throughout the universe? And of course, with again, this new genetic technology, we might be able to create hybrid species ourselves. Let's see one such specimen in this scene from the nineteen fifty-two "Flash Gordon" TV. series, the episode "The Forbidden Experiment" starring Steve Holland, and Irene Chaplain. Roll tape!"
