"On this segment we're going to talk about how to book vendors to your convention. There really is no easy way to book vendors except the old fashion way, you have to pound the pavement. You've got to go to other conventions, let the organizers of those conventions know that you're actually going to be there to solicit some of their vendors and hopefully the conventions that you attend will not be competitive to yours and they will let you go ahead and do that. Do as many conventions as you can, and really what you need to do is you need to go to conventions, you need not only to give them your literature, but you need to collect their own business cards. You want to stay in touch with these people. You want to get them as much information as possible, to make sure it's worth their while to come because obviously, they have to a make a living as well. The last thing you want to do is bring vendors to a convention who are going to pay you to be there and not get anything in return. So, you really need to get out there. Do some research on the internet, that's another viable way. Look up vendors and sales people who are involve in products that would be interesting to your convention and write them. The internet is a great equalizer. Go out there, write people. You're going to find them, and before long you're going to find that they're writing you back and they're going to have interest in what you're doing."
