"So we're going to talk about what it takes to really be present on a photo shoot. You know, a lot of people want to be models but they can't get out of themselves and into the shoot. You have to remember that when you step on that stage or when you're on this beautiful set here you become someone else. You become what the camera wants to see. You have to flirt with the camera. Your eyes have to be alive. You have to be bright. You have to look right into the lens and you really have to forget who you are and become one with the film. That's the difference between a good model and a great model. A great model knows how to flirt with the camera, play up to the camera, be there, be present, get excited and show a full range of emotions without even thinking about it. If you're inhibited and shy or self-conscious you really need to get rid of those characteristics in order to be a great model, and as you can see here Mindy's totally into it. The world can come crashing around her but as long as Joe is directing her and that strobe is going on she is fully present and fully in concentration on what it's going to take to flirt with that camera and do not just a good shot but a great shot. That's what it takes to be a great model. Forget about everything else. The moment that camera starts running you're only there."
