"In this demonstration, we're going to do another type of cupping called flash cupping. Flash cupping can be used for back pain as we're going to utilize it here. In particular for a very acute onset type of back pain. It's oftentimes used for other problems too, such as, cough and colds and flu. So, in this case, we're going to pop the cup on very quickly on and off. Well, sometimes we extinguish the fire as we go here. And you know you're doing it right when you get that good resounding sound. The cups heat up so sometimes we have to switch cups so that we don't cause any discomfort for our patient. So when we do that, we want to sure the cup doesn't get too hot. It should always be comfortable for our patient and make sure that we're not causing any injury. In cupping, we also have to use caution if somebody's got very thin skin, elderly or young children, we have to be very careful when we use that."
