"One thing that people do but shouldn't do is use the existing solution for days, even weeks, maybe months on end. You want to change the solution out everyday. You don't want to use the solution night in and night out. So, what I would advise everyday is just dump the existing solution. How long has the solution been in here? Dump it out, put a new thing of multipurpose solution in there. That way you won't have, again, bacteria floating in the solution. It could be something as simple as mascara for ladies, could be dirt from somebody's hands, you want to clean that out. Because again, you are reducing the risk of infection to your eyes. The other thing that is really upsetting to see is if a contact lens falls out, somebody doesn't have solution; what they'll do is they'll pull the contact out and put it in their mouth and the pull it out and call the contact lens clean. There's probably, you can probably look it up on the Internet how much bacteria is in your mouth, okay. You do not want to subject something that you're going to put into your eye to the bacteria in your mouth. You are going to, again, chance the risk of infection to your eye. So, always keep that spare bottle of solution, never ever wet your contact lens with saliva. And again, remember to change the solution out on a daily basis."
