"Pose three in Sivananda yoga is the plow pose Halasana, and Martha's going to demonstrate it for us today. So I'm going to have her start sitting down, excuse me, laying down on her back. Now Halasana, it's taking the shoulder stand to a very beautiful next level in it. When she comes into shoulder stand she's going to drop her legs all the way over her head, toes on the floor, nice beautiful long legs. Now it is something like shoulder stand so you're going to have your chin compressed into the throat, so it's very important not to look side to side. Very important Martha, okay, no looking side to side. All right. Lifting the legs all the way up, straight to the sky, and coming into shoulder stand. Moving the elbows nice and close together and then very slowly lowering the head, feet, all the way over the head, and finding her plow pose Halasana. Now notice her toes are slightly pressed, are facing the head, so she's tucked her toes, placed them on the ground. Also notice how her legs are nice and beautifully long. Noticing the chin, compressed into it. That's why you do not want to look side to side. And coming out, slowly lift, lowering the arms down, yes, lowering it down, legs all the way down, coming in to Shivasana. Palms up, feet apart."
