in this segment we're going to talk about Mikai Usui and his Satori enlightenment experience on Mount Koriyama. So as the seeker that he was he set out on a pilgrimage to the top of Mount Koriyama to find enlightenment for himself and come to understand what healing is about. He received this after three weeks of fasting and meditating and was illuminated with healing energy. He ran down the mountain and began creating clinic and a whole community where Reiki was being taught to Japan and those that needed healing were coming to him. It all came about from that pivotal moment where he opened up to universe, received the energy and the symbols for this wonderful system that's now being taught throughout the world. In our next segment we'll talk about the various branches of Reiki that come out of Usui's own experience.
