"Hi! This is Dr. Erik Sorbo on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today we’re going to be talking about proper posture and some exercises that you can do to help strengthen your spine, and keep it working the way it should. One simple and effective exercise you can do to strengthen your posture muscles is called the cross crawl. The first way to do this requires us to lie face down on the floor. Lying with the arms and legs out stretched. Not bringing the face up but looking at the floor, what we need to do is raise one arm and the opposite leg a few inches off the floor like this. Hold back 5-10 seconds, relax, and repeat on the opposite side. Now, the cross crawl can be performed safely 3-5 times on each side 2-3 times a day. I recommend doing it morning and evening as a warm up and a cool down to your day. "
