"In this clip we'll talk about who is a good candidate for breast reduction surgery. A good candidate for breast reduction surgery generally would be a woman. That would be the most common person to have a breast reduction. Of course some men do need to have breast reduction. There is a procedure known as Gynecomastia; well there's a condition called Gynecomastia, that involves male breast enlargement, and sometimes they need to be reduced as well. But we'll talk in this discussion about women, which is the most common. And so this would be women of certain age, generally at least 18 years old, because the woman should have reached a physical and emotional maturity, that would allow them to understand the implications and expectations and be prepared to go through the body and life changing aspects of having a breast reduction operation. This would be a woman that has breast that are out of proportion to her body, generally at least a very large "c" or "d" cup or much larger. Breast that are droopy, hanging down, below the chest wall. And breast that are pulling down at the arms or at the neck, and so heavy that they may be causing some painful symptoms. This would be the type of candidate that would be perfect for breast reduction."
