"Determining your nutrients needs really needs to be determined by a registered dietitian. Nutrients needs are really based on an individual sex, age, sometimes it can be determined on how much you weigh. So it's very important to contact your registered dietitian about that It's also important to really pay attention if you are taking supplements because you don't want to have too much of vitamin. Let's say phosphorous for example, if you are eating too much phosphorous and it's not the right amount of ration to calcium, you may actually be depleting your bone density rather than increasing your bone density. So it's very important to not to have that toxicity. Deficiencies are also very important so again supplements can play a role or if you are eating a lot of one type of food and not another type of food, you may have nutrient deficiencies and not having a lot of nutrients for your metabolism. So the goal is to really get a balance and learn what kind or how much and what kind of nutrients that you need and the best way to do that like I said is to have a consultation with your registered dietitian because he or she can configure that out for you."
