"On this clip I want to talk about tripods. This particular tripod is a light weight model that you can fold up, collapse the legs and take with you. Once you extend the legs or collapse them you need to tighten them back down so that once you extend your tripod, kind of push on it a little bit before you put your camera on it. Make sure it's not going to fall. This particular tripod has a quick release. This mounts on the bottom of your camera, and then when you're out in the field you can just slide your camera down and it locks in place and you're ready to shoot right away. It's a real time saving device. In the studio, in some studios, we have what's called a camera stand. This is a, a really nice one from Bogen. The heads, you can put on basically whatever head you want. This is a simple tripod head that you see is more like this. Just simple controls. This is a, a head from an old Majestic tripod. This one is really amazing because it will let you actually crank right down into place with where you need to go and it'll rotate around and give you all kind of controls, and then up here you've got your vertical or horizontal control. This particular stand originally was a lot taller. We cut it down for the studio because everyone kept running into our cables. It also has a lock down. Once it's down you're not going to move it, very, very, very sturdy. You will not get camera vibration with this in lock down. It's one of the best tripods you can buy anywhere."
