Hi, my name is Lori with Figs Catering in Austin, Texas on behalf of Expert Village today we are going to show you how to make an entire Thanksgiving meal. Now we are going to add our seasoning to our gravy. I'm going to put in some thyme leaves and again if you don't like thyme don't worry about it you can just add whatever flavorings that you do like or just leave it very plain and simple. What I'm going to do is add in a whole sprig of thyme and right before we serve it I'm just going to remove the sprig cause the leaves would have already fallen off. And that is a easy way to get the thyme leave into your gravy. So I got about 3 sprigs of thyme and I'm going to do about a tablespoon of salt. Now one of the things you want to remember whenever you are salting your gravy is that it is going to condense so if you salt it at the very beginning then it may be way to strong. So you always want salt your gravy towards the very end because by then you would know the consistency. Last but not least I'm going to add my pepper, I like fresh ground black pepper. If you would prefer to use white pepper then that is just fine too. So I add in my pepper about a half of tablespoon and mix it all in. Like I said right before dinner time remove those thyme sprigs and it would be ready to serve. Make sure you taste it before you serve it to make sure you have enough salt in it.
