"Hi, my name is John Mays. Some people refer to me as “Evil” John Mays. I’m a makeup effects artist and I’m here doing a demonstration for Expertvillage.com. What we’re going to do now is put a little bit of powder on here to brush things down, matte out the finish. Put it on kind of heavy at first, we can always blow it back off, plus it gives you a little more depth-to-field on it. Now up here on the stitches, it’ll help take the shine off the adhesive that’s left. Bare in mind, a lot of this stuff is sticky, so you have to be kind of real ginger about it when you’re doing this because otherwise you’ll end up with lots of brush fibers. Now take this makeup sponge and brush the powder off. Be careful around your appliances because you don’t want to knock anything loose. "
