In this section, we're going to learn how to combine the basic deflections and use them against an attack. We're going to continue with the deflective blocks of Wing Chun, this time we're going to use the deflections, combine them and add some punching into it. So, as he is punching here, we're going into Tan Sao, as I go into Tan Sao, I'm going to trap his arm and go into a hit at the same time. So he punches here, I come into Tan I also step in. There's a lot involved in Wing Chun, I'm not only doing the hands but I'm stepping in to trap the legs as well. You could step on the inside or the outside, here's the inside of his body. If I stepped on the outside, I could also push him down into to do a take down, so if I stepped on the outside he's going to trip over my leg as I push him. If I step on the inside, I can trap him and sweep him forward, if I decide to sweep him forward. So focusing again on the hands when he's punching here, I deflect with Tan Sao. I trap with, this is called Gum Sao, pinning hand trap with Gum Sao and hit across this way. All right? So that's a Tan Sao deflection in a hit. Let's go into Wu Sao, Wu Sao is like a punch that slides across deflecting. As I go into Wu Sao, I can bring the Wu Sao, in a slow motion move I can bring the Wu Sao right into a punch as I am also trapping with this hand. So as he's punching here, the Wu Sao goes right into a punch. The Bong Sao, he punches here as I go into Bong Sao and deflect the back arm is up. I can drag, I can grab and come into a Fok Sao and go into the neck. So again, I go into Bong Sao trap with the back arm, strike if he blocks here I Larp and grab and I can continue to do the hits. So there's from Bong Sao to Fok Sao. Gun Sao, if he punches here, I can Gun Sao and punch as the same time so I can deflect and punch at the same time. So you have Wu Sao, Bong; Wu Sao, Tan Sao, Jum let's start again. Wu Sao, Pak Sao, Tan Sao, Gum Sao, Bong Sao, Larp Sao. O.k. now we're going to go through the Larp Sao one again so when he punches here, I go into a Larp I trap the arm as I trap the arm, I step in at the same time to trap him and then I can go into a punch as I step in. So as he's punching I can step in go into a Larp, I pin the arm against him. This arm's again, quote, "Gum Sao" just pinning the arm so as he's punching come around into the grab pin the arm step at the same time. I can do the same move from here but if I don't step in there's no power with hitting this far away so by stepping in your punch goes through the target all the way. Next what we're going to do is focus on using the hands and legs with the strikes.
