"Hi! this is Tamir Elterman on behalf of Expertvillage.com. In this clip I will be talking about the stick. We are just going to go through some basic terminology of the stick. The plastic part up here is called the head. They can come in various shapes and sizes depending on what you want the head for some is better for shooting and some is better for picking up ground balls and others help better for holding on to the ball. This metal part is called the shaft. The head and the shaft are connected through this screw right here. These strings right here which facilitate different types of shooting are called shooting strings and these strings right here which connect the mesh to the head are called sidewalls. The area that the ball sits in is called the pocket and this will be referred to in our cradling section. "
