"When you are playing perfect racquetball, every shot off a racquet is just money. The serves are perfect. The send balls are flawless up against a side wall. Everything is working perfectly. It's easy to win. Of course, the key to a great player is to win when you're playing bad. Now how do you do that? You mix it up. You've got to be able to change your shots up; have these different shots in your arsenal to be able to do this. The key to win when you're playing bad is to not do the same thing over and over. Maybe in practice leading up to the tournament, you were hitting perfect back hand pinches. So, you know you're going to go into these matches saying, I'm going to win with my perfect back hand pinch. All of sudden, you get into game time; It's a different court than the court you were practicing on, different lights, different feel, maybe you ate something different. You're not hitting those perfect shots. So, you've got to mix it up, try different things and be open to switching all this up because win when you're playing bad is the key to a champion. Winning when you're playing perfectly is just easy. So, find a way to mix it all up. Don't get locked into the shots that you're normally hitting and win when you're playing bad."
