"When you're getting started playing racquetball, one of the most important things is equipment, starting off with the racket. Any racket kind of appeals to beginner racquetball players, it's a personal preference, but I, of course, prefer the Ektelon racket. This little vibrosorb in the middle here absorbs the vibration. Some people use rubber bands, but they actually make what is known as a vibrosorb that you can put inside your racket that absorbs the vibration. Also the glove, the glove is very important. They make different gloves, like tacky gloves, it is a personal preference. Again, Ektelon gloves are the best. Eye guards are the most important item that you can possibly get when playing racquetball because it saves your eyes, and they are hot and very attractive. Don't wear them outside of racquetball. The ball, they have different balls, they have red balls, they have blue balls, and they often have a pink ball now that they are selling for breast cancer. This ball is the indoor ball, and most people play that in amateurs. And then down here is the shoe. They now make racquetball shoes especially for racquetball, with kind of a gum soul that sticks to the wood floor, and for those quick movements you don't want to be sliding all over the place. That is the basics behind the equipment that you want to get started playing racquetball."
