"The first exercise I am going to demonstrate for you today is a jumping jack; the most basic calisthenic exercise there is. We have all been doing jumping jack since we were 2, 3, 4, 5 years old. But there is a proper way to do them. You first want to start with your feet together, hands by your side, body in alignment, abs tight, everything facing forward. When you come out into a jumping jack it is almost like a star. You want to jump out bending your knees first, jump out with your feet, knees slightly bent and your arms are going to come up and you are going to extend the arms to the ceiling and come up onto your tippy toes. You are going to jump back bending your knees. It is very important to jump with a soft bend in your knees. So you are going to inhale and exhale as you come out, bring them back together. You are going to continue this exercise. Usually this exercise is done for time and not repetitions. Out and in, arms come straight out to the side and together. Soft bend in the knees, very soft on your feet. And you can do it a little bit faster, picking up your pace increasing your cardiovascular workout. "
