"RASUL AHMED DAVIS: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Rasul Davis and my company is Punch Kettlebell Gym, New York City, and today I'm going to show you how to get into the swing of things with kettlebells. Okay, now I'm going to demonstrate what's called the "figure-eight to a static hold." The way you do this exercise is you bend down first, grab the kettlebell, stand up about hip width with the kettlebell onto your left or your right, it doesn't matter. Now, it's going to go through your legs, transfer hands, using your hips and your legs, not curling it with your arm, bring it up safely to your shoulder. Then you transfer. This is an excellent move for the hip, lumbopelvic hip area, and it's a good warm-up. So down, transfer, hold; down, transfer, hold. If you need a rest, rest here. Down, transfer, hold; down, transfer, hold. Notice my hip movement. This is all about your center of gravity."
