"Often when you've settled on a proper size for a hybrid you have some choice in terms of setting up your saddle to put yourself over the peddles properly. There's quite a bit of room on the saddle rail here so you can move your seat fore and aft to the tune of a couple centimeters, maybe even three. That's going to do two things, one, bring you closer or further away from your handle bars and more importantly put your knee over the peddle when you're peddling so that you're actually getting the most out of the leverage your legs can afford down to the peddle. Often when you hop on a bike you feel that you need to hit yourself back right away, it usually means that you should put your saddle back a hair. If you feel like your sitting forward on the seat or on the nose that may point you towards, that you may need to bring the seat forward a little. To find balance between a production bike and a good fit in terms of reach versus keeping your knees over the peddle where they need to be."
