"MICKEY DENONCOURT: Being a fall and winter sport, cyclocross means that you have to be prepared to train and race in all sorts of conditions from 80 degrees to 18 degrees. So how do you dress for that? Because I mean it's a short race, you know, one hour of like pure pain. So obviously, you're creating a lot of heat if you're only racing for an hour and you're going hard. So important things to pick up, if you haven't already picked them up, a nice thin base layer. You can see this is a perforated polymesh long sleeve. This fits real tight to the skin, helps to wick away sweat and stuff like that. They make them in different thicknesses, short sleeve, long sleeve, no sleeves. Stuff like that is going to help out a lot. Another thing that's nice to have for different conditions is--they really only make one helmet. Helmet designed for riding in the summer, you know it's really hot out. So when it's colder and weather and stuff like that, having a nice cap that you can put on, a nice, thin cap that fits under your helmet, especially with a brim is going to be nice. It's going to keep heat on your head. You know, you lose more heat through your head than anywhere else. Having a brim is nice and, you know, the sand and the rain and stuff like that because it keeps stuff out of your eyes and you can't always be wearing glasses. Also it keeps your glasses a little bit cleaner."
