Video Transcript

"So the second movement in the eighteen movements Chen style form is called Buddha's attendant pounds mortar. This starts with your left hand coming up, right leg comes up with the right arm, right hand comes into a fist, comes down into the left hand. Keeping the weight on the left, right leg comes up with right fist. Then keeping the weight on the left, stomp with the right foot and the right hand comes down. Buddha's attendant pounds mortar. One would image that they were standing on ice and were stomping as if they wanted to break the ice, but not fall into it. So the weight remains on the left leg, while stomping down with the right."
