"Hi, I'm Kevin Byford with the Ski and Snowboard Schools of Aspen on behalf of the Expert Village. Okay, so as you're down in your toe side practicing a few times, we're going to go to the heel side. Same idea, neutral stance, flat board, but now we're going to pick our toes up and press down on our heel, and look over the right shoulder towards the right because I'm goofy. And there you have it. Not a big turn, just a slight direction change. Remember, you only have one foot on the board, no dramatic movements here. So getting on and off the chair can be intimidating for many people, so why not practice it before you try it. Where you practice it is go find a bench somewhere, pretend that's the chair coming towards you. For getting on the chair, make sure that your board is pointed away from the chair, pointed up the slope in the direction you're going. Chair comes toward you, you're going to sit down. The last thing you do is pick the nose of the board up, so it doesn't drag in the snow. And that's getting on the chair."
