"Hello, my name is Frank Torres and I am here on behalf of Expert Village. This segment is all about injuries in Fantasy Football. Football is a violent game; players get injured all the time. You will want to make sure that you are prepared when one of your players gets injured. The biggest enemy to a Fantasy Football owner is, the one that has carried me to a loss or two, is the last minute scratch. The last minute scratch is when the coach decides that the player isn't healthy enough to play. And so at the very last minute he will bench him and favor another player. Now of course, this is going to happen fifteen minutes before a game starts and you already have your line-ups adjusted to accompany a player that got scratched. That's why you will constantly want to be monitoring his situation to see whether he's going to play or not. While you are monitoring the situation, look at possible free agents you could pick up. Look at possible substitutes. Always have a contingency plan for that player that goes down. Now injuries are a very serious part of the game, they can cost you an entire weekend. Make sure that you know what the deal is with your star player, especially when you get to the playoffs. Nothing knocks a top team off the top worse than injuries."
