In women's self defense and personal protection we've looked at several wrist grabs, each of them single with one hand. But now let's go to two hands on one. Now it's much more difficult for me to fight over one thumb, because the other one is closing it up. It makes it very difficult. Normally, when I have one hand, it's very important that I get directly away from her, because she's going to generally try to strike me as well. Both hands now are consumed with this attack. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to drop my elbow and raise this up slightly. You see her shoulders start to raise, and now it's much easier for me to pop out of the thumbs. In this position here, her thumbs are very strong, because they are basically overlapping. It's closing the gap. If I break her shoulder plane and elevate her center, now it's very easy for me to do. Additionally, I'd encourage you to bring a second hand into play here. Grab that hand and yank it out. Once again now, it's my entire body working against the simply strength of her thumbs. Drop my elbow. The shoulders lift up. Grab that other hand and pull it out. Let's give Theresa a try here. Good, let's do it again. Outstanding. It's a good wrist escape for women's self defense and personal protection.
