Hello my name is Dmitri Olympiev and I teach at Pines Ice Arena in Pembroke, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.www.pinesicearena.com. Now another way of changing directions is an exercise called “Mohawk”. Now when we do a three turn, we only use one foot, but when we do a mohawk, we use both feet. This is how it looks like. As you can see, we substitute one foot with another, on one foot we’re going forward on the other foot we’re going to go backwards. When you change your feet like that, it’s important that you put your foot right in the middle of the skating bar. And this is how you change direction, one, two, three. The other foot, one, two, three. We’ll be right back.
