" Hi name is Dan and I'm here with Expert Village today to show you how to tie a eye splice. A eye splice is a excellent way to make a solid loop in a line. The line needs to be braided preferably three strain. Start by gently unraveling your three strains. Next I like to tape the very end so they won't unraveled further. Makes very much like the end of a shoe lace. Once you have taped your three ends unravel three or four inches of you line. Then tape along the bottom of this so that it is not unravel any further. Now you need to determine how large of a loop you need. If you are making a hand tool or a strap for a pack you can adjust to your likening. We are going to make the hold for about six inches long. So at the point you want you eye splice to end also place some tape as a marker. "
