"Hello. In this series of videos we're going to be examining aikido from the ground floor up as well as aiki jujitsu from the ground floor up. Aikido itself is primarily a martial art based on interlocking skills of joint locking, pinning and throwing. It's the same with aiki jujitsu since it actually is the delineation out of it. However in aikido as well as aiki jujitsu you are trying to absorb, redirect and re-channel the person's attack. In which case we are trying to control the overall outcome and flow of the even and the technique or the attack as it takes place. So, in this first round of videos, as I stated, we will be looking at the very primary basic foundation on which to learn aikido and aiki jujitsu. This will also be a very strong center line position for people to examine their own martial art, their own experience, and to actually maybe figure out whether or not they are working and moving and performing most efficiently as they can. So it will be a cross sectional tool that can cross over to other martial arts."
